Dr. Davidson

Dr. Sandra Davidson began working as an optometrist in Lake Havasu City in January of 2019. Dr. Davidson received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1989 from the Southern California College of Optometry with Distinction. She attended California State University Fullerton and received her Bachelor of Visual Science, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1987.

Dr. Davidson owned her own private optometry practice in Riverside, CA for nearly 20 years. She has served as President of the Inland Empire Optometric Association and founded an annual educational symposium for optometrists that is still being held more than 18 years later.

She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and faculty member at Loma Linda University Medical School’s Department of Ophthalmology, where she helps to train their residents. Dr. Davidson and her husband, Richard, have gone on missionary trips to Fiji and an orphanage in Tijuana, where Dr. Davidson performed eye exams and Richard made glasses. She has a special interest in helping low vision patients use their remaining vision to their maximum potential. She also appreciates that glasses can both correct vision and be a fashion statement.

Dr. Davidson was born and raised in Southern CA. She has had a part-time home in Lake Havasu City for 20 years and is now working towards making it her full-time residence. Dr. Davidson is a licensed private pilot and loves to paddle her two-man outrigger canoe with Richard. She also enjoys both water and snow skiing, traveling the world, and spending time in her art studio creating unique and original pieces with fused glass and wood.
