Insurance can be tricky, but we can help you fully take advantage of it to get the personalized eye care you deserve. Below, you can find information about the many insurance options we accept at Lake Havasu Family Eyecare.

If you don’t see your plan listed, or have questions about understanding or utilizing your care, please contact us using the link at the bottom of the page — we’ll help verify your insurance and ensure you make the most of your benefits, whatever they may be!

Medicare

Medicare coverage can cover differing degrees of eye care from both medical and vision insurance plans. These may include eye exams, eyeglasses, fittings, and contact lenses (usually only when medically necessary). Medicare may also cover standard corrective eyewear if you’ve had cataract surgery and still require glasses.

We accept a variety of Medicare plans from various healthcare providers. Please speak with us to find out if we accept your plan, and what your benefits can help with.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

Millions of Americans opt for either a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) as a part of their strategy for managing healthcare expenses throughout the year. While there are differences between the two, they both allow you to save and spend money on health expenses — including eye care — without those funds being subject to taxes.

However, they have important stipulations and limitations. For example, FSA funds expire at the end of the year, so make sure you use it before you lose it!

Health Savings Accounts & Flexible Spending Accounts

Medical Insurance

Medical insurance is typically for medical care: treatment for a diagnosed eye disease. It can also be used for medical eye exams (some plans cover pediatric eye exams) but basic health insurance generally won’t apply to annual/preventative eye exams — that’s what vision insurance is useful for.

We accept the following health insurances:

Vision Insurance

While medical insurance covers medical issues, vision insurance is focused on providing clear vision through deals on routine and preventative eye care, as well as eyewear, and the treatment of eye conditions not included under a health plan, like dry eye and conjunctivitis. Typically, this includes annual eye exams and discounts on eyeglasses and contact lenses above and beyond the “medically necessary” standard of medical insurance.
