The Importance of Annual Eye Exams
You use your eyes every day, in all kinds of situations, which means they should be operating at peak performance! Additionally, many eye conditions can develop without warning, meaning that an annual exam can allow your doctor to prevent vision loss by diagnosing conditions as early as possible.
During an annual eye exam, your eye doctor will collect information about your eyes, from major changes in your vision to developing trends that might be worth keeping an eye on, to ensure your ongoing eye health. You’ll also get an up-to-date vision prescription to use when you shop our wide selection of eyeglasses and contact lenses.
The Importance of Eye Doctors Who Know You

Pediatric Eye Exams
Eye health is a journey that begins at a very young age. Children can focus both eyes together at around six months old, which is why we see many of our patients for their first eye exam at this time. We conduct kid-friendly exams to test their visual acuity and ensure that they’re reaching developmental milestones. We’ll also keep an eye out for conditions that can begin during early development, such as amblyopia (“lazy eye”) and strabismus (“crossed eyes”).
